PRABAL GURUNG

Prabal Gurung launched his eponymous collection in February 2009 with a philosophy encompassing modern luxury, indelible style and an astute sense of glamour. The sustainable clothing brand chooses to manufacture in New York City to uphold standards of quality while supporting the local community and recognises the importance of domestic production, particularly with respect to the quality of the finished product. In 2011, the Gurung family established the Shikshya Foundation Nepal, a foundation that seeks to provide education to underprivileged children, challenging them to positively impact the country’s future. In the same year, Prabal Gurung was also named Goodwill Ambassador for Maiti Nepal, a foundation started to prevent the trafficking of girls and women. In 2016, the brand joined the CFDA + Lexus Fashion* Initiative, a 12-month challenge designed to educate and empower brands to implement sustainable designs and practices. Made in the USA
